Tacchan from episode 14 & 23 reappears and rebrands himself as an internet personality named Tacchan the Occult Hunter. Kyouka shows that people's memories and electronic information/data on Chemies and alchemy are being restored by black particles created by Gaelya, due to alchemy and electronic devices work well hand in hand. The weird thing here is that Kyouka is jumping to the conclusion that those particles are created by Gaelya, while Gigist and Glion are still around. Doesn't she consider the possibility that Gigist and or Glion may also be the culprit? Don't know! The writers probably just wanted the story to happen, so they didn't account for this type of logical anomalies.
Houtarou and Sabimaru are worried that it'd take some time for people to accept Chemies as the newest members of society. Houtarou and Rinne encounter a mob boss and his muscle thugs demanding them to surrender the Chemies. The boss says that he needs Chemies due to their great powers, and one of his thugs later confirms Houtarou's suspicion that the gangsters are going to use Chemies to Malgamize and weaponize themselves against the police.
From the scene @ 07:39 it seems like Gaelya does have some limited precognition ability. She then steals the Venomdake RCC and and uses it to transform the mob boss into a Malgam. The Antwrestler Gotcharbrother can't maintain his form because it's sustained Nijigon's power which is incomplete and draining due to the Venomdake RCC stolen by Gaelya. Rinne transforms into KR Majade, and Gaelya is sneakily injecting something into Rinne's left hand. It could the power for KR Majade's upgrade form, which has been rumored to be a combination of KR Wind's armors with a new undersuit.
Glion and Atropos are enjoying quality father & daughter bonding time 11:23. I wonder what's his next move to respond to Gaelya's schemes.
Minato delivers the news @ 13:03 that he's unable to contact the AU's top brasses, who are seemingly fleeing from the crisis and abandoning the AU and the whole collapsing alchemy society. So, after 46 episodes, this is the best thing the writers can do with the AU and the alchemy society as an organization? Is this how the AU's top brasses are eliminated by the writers, simply by making them the cowardly captains cowardly who abandon their sinking ship? This is sooooo convenient. It seems like the writers have little interest in elaborating on the AU and the alchemy society all along. No wonder I've never seen other AA students. No wonder the AA has only had this small common room. No wonder all the other AU members (including the Kongou lab members) have almost always (if not always) functioned as plot-forwarding devices, not actual people. No wonder the story only has only revolved around this tiny clique of 7 people as exposed by Tacchan @ 15:07. No wonder the AU's top brasses have done almost nothing to respond to the villains' schemes and threats. No wonder the AU and the alchemy society as an organization feels so hollow. No wonder Gotchard's story feels so hollow, vapid, and lethargic. My hypothesis: Due to the AU being declared disbanded by Spanner @ 21:01, the alchemy society will eventually collapse due to conflicts with the Muggles, and later in the epilogue the new AU will be rebuilt and led by Minato, Kyouka, Spanner, Mami, etc. No need for intra-organization political struggle. I hope I'm wrong on this one, but if my hypothesis is correct, then it'd be a very convenient ending.
For a second I mistook Spanner for Ren Akiyama/KR Knight @ 16:02, haha.
Based on what she says @ 18:28, it seems like Gaelya
is
aiming to create chaos among humanity by pitting Muggles, Malgams, alchemists, Chemies, and Riders against each other. I wonder what's Gigist thinking when he sees Gaelya gloating in her apparent victory. He might unexpectedly end up doing the impossible by betraying her and help Houtarou.
Spanner is entering the usual second/third Rider "betrayal" arc @ 20:31. He dons his formal AU attire and declares himself as the sole leader of his AU and reveals his plan to dispose all Chemies, attempting to deter those who may have the idea of misusing Chemies. Then @ 21:44 he demands Houtarou to surrender his RCC's, or else... The second/third Rider "betrayal" arc is usual, but it's already episode 46. It's too late! What have you been doing, Gotchard writers? Well, maybe better late than never? Haha.
I'm not sure how long Spanner's "betrayal" arc last, but it seems like it will only last until episode 47 or 48. I think episode 47 is more likely, because the writers need to rush the story like there's no tomorrow because they still need to deal with the 3 remaining villains (Gigist, Gaelya, & Glion), each of them will likely die consecutively in the last 3 episodes from 48-50. Oh, and there's still the lose end about Houtarou's manipulated memories and his absent (missing? dead? assassinated? The Alchemy of Dawn?) dad. How are the writers gonna deal with
that
? DON'T KNOW!
Next week:
The Houtarou & Spanner showdown that will likely also mark the end of Spanner's "betrayal" arc.
