Like I know that people over here like the super edgy rider series and the ones with experimental storytelling, but these are still shows aimed at children, and we had a string of rider series with very complex plots that varied in actual quality. Even if the toys did well, it?s not hard to see why something like Geats could alienate that audience.
Basically I?m fine if this is a series that?s not plot heavy and is mostly about fighting monsters and has good comedy and characters, like Gotchard, I?m fine with that. I don?t have a problem with more Gotchard style shows.
Well I hope they turn down the ?new power every other episode? thing, but that?s less a Gotchard problem and more a problem with the series since like, Ghost.
I can say for myself that I prefer serialized storytelling in finished shows and episodic storytelling in ongoing ones. Because yes, it?s easy to be horrified and impressed by an incredible twist, as well as trying to untangle the web of intrigue, but I prefer not to languish for a whole week for a possible solution. Plus, with a serialized approach, there will always be intermediate episodes that set the stage, where essentially there are no interesting events. So I liked Gotchard's approach too. Although, too much toys spoils everything.
