People complained about the Zakuzaku Chipslashers looking breakable and now, that seems to be the point. Sharpness and brittleness are both valuable qualities for a blade, but usually if you increase one, the other decreases. So these swords prioritize sharpness over brittleness, which is compensated by their ability to regenerate. Pretty neat!

That's the most apparent theory at the moment. However, we may consider other possibilities. Based on the actors' ages, the gap is big enough for Lango to have had a kid in the early-mid 00s, so he might be the father instead. Or maybe Shouma is the result of an experiment that Stomach performed on his mother.

The GotcharDriver was partially inspired by a bento box and the similarity was acknowledged in the Class 3-G special, so I guess it would be confusing for bento to be used for 2 consecutive years.

While Granutes seem to only attack isolated targets, this one attacked Hanto's mother right in front of the poor kid! I wonder if they got in trouble with Stomach for their audacity. Must've been traumatizing as hell for Hanto, especially after he and his mother were just having fun playing with a ball, like a normal activity. Otherwise, Hanto seems like a pretty chill dude, but I imagine he'll get serious when he fights as Valen.

The spooky lighting and Gavv's wildness do a great job actually making him look like a monster. Has the same kind of feeling as the "Moonsault of Anger" moment from Build Episode 6. Another scene that I think shows Shouma's loneliness is when he watches Sachika and Ritsu hugging, instead of joining in. He's happy for them, but he seems afraid to be happy for himself, like that happiness would be stealing from them the same way that other Granutes do. There's a sadness to his smile.
