I think this is the first time ine awhile that the Rider's world seems bigger than just the Rider. I don't know how to explain this but previously, all interactions between the Rider and the public seem to be limited to the public being victims and the Rider being the problems solver.

Gavv, on the other hand, has other things. We have Hanto actively searching for his mother's killer, we have the Stomach family that is more concerned with producing Dark Treats than actively antagonizing the Rider, Sachika has her own business. Even in this episode, the thug's storyline is actual kind of tangential to the Granute storyline. He wouldn't even have been a victim if he hadn't decided to rob the food truck.

I know I am not making sense but for now, Gavv's world seems bigger than usual. Let's see how long that lasts.
