The name means "Godbeast Team Legacy-ger," and they're the heirs to five elemental tribes that have protected the world in secret since ancient times, each tribe blessed by the power of a Holy Beast: the Solar Lion, Ocean Turtle, Thunder Eagle, Mountain Ox and Shadow Cobra. For the longest time, the five tribes lived in harmony... until the king of the Darkness Clan decided he'd rather rule the world than protect it. He used manipulation and stealth attacks to turn the other clans against each other, leaving them too consumed with infighting to resist him, before launching open attacks on the populace with his shadow monsters.

But two heroes stand against this evil: The princess of the Flame Clan, who received a vision from the Solar Lion imploring her to save the world, and the Darkness King's own son, who broke away from the clan in disgust at what they'd become. Gathering heirs from the other three clans who still believe in peace, and combining ancient magic with advanced technology, they vow to restore the balance and save the world!

When the battle gets especially dire, they are joined by a mysterious warrior of light, who traveled back in time from a future where the Darkness Clan rules all and changing the past is the only hope left. He's cryptic and secretive, afraid of causing a paradox if he reveals too much, but sometimes slips up and refers to Red as "mother" or Black as "father"!
