Hanto/KR Valen doesn't like the fact that his real identity has been revealed in front of Shouma/KR Gavv. And Shouma/KR Gavv calls Hanto/KR Valen by his human name, so he gave away the clue that he's already known Hanto/KR Valen. So, Hanto/KR Valen simply asks Shouma/KR Gavv to reveal his identity in front of him because he thinks it's not fair that he was the only one whose identity is revealed. Yep, it's
that
simple. No need for probing. No need for questioning. No need for deduction. No need for reasoning.
Some people commented that Hanto's identity as KR Valen was revealed too earlier in episode 11, but I don't think that that's the case. Hanto's identity as KR Valen (and Shouma's identity as KR Gavv) is revealed too late in episodes 11 & 12, where they should've already been able to connect the dots and guess each other's identity in episode 10 like I elaborated
here
where it was clearly shown that both KR Gavv and KR Valen possessed the crucial piece of information that they shouldn't have possessed unless they're Shouma and Hanto.
Shouma has just realized that Hanto isn't a Granute but a human because his stomach doesn't look like a Granute's @ 04:33. Seriously, Shouma? How dense are you? You've just realized that Hanto/KR Valen isn't a Granute
now
only when you have the chance to actually see his belly? You should've already realized it since the very first time you encountered KR Valen like I elaborated in the episode 7 thread
here
. Granutes = Humanoid otherworldly creatures with a mouth on their stomach called a Gavv which allows them to put on infinite number of human disguises. No Gavv = Not a Granute = Human. The reasoning is very simple, yet it takes Shouma 5 episodes and an actual look at Hanto's belly to arrive at that obvious conclusion. And the fact that Shouma, the sole creator of Gochizous, hasn't even asked where Hanto/KR Valen gets his Gochizous from makes Shouma look even dumber.
Hanto tells Shouma his sob story about his mom being kidnapped by a mysterious, elusive Wolf(?) Granute 18 years ago @ 08:49. He shows Shouma the photo of his kid self with his mom. Aaannnddd... Shouma is suddenly experiencing a painful flashback of an unknown memory. In the episode 3 thread
here
I pointed out that the mysterious Wolf Granute was shown to have a red Gavv in Kid Hanto's drawing. In the episode 6 thread
here
I hypothesized that the mysterious Wolf Granute was actually Kid Shouma, though it's weird that Kid Shouma's Granute form looked like an adult one. This hypothesis still has several other logical gaps, such as why the Wolf Granute acted like a wild/feral animal, why it had exposed mouth (unlike other Granutes), and how the Wolf Granute was able to enter the human world in the first place. If the elusive Wolf Granute was indeed Kid Shouma, this could be a strong sign that Shouma and Hanto will have a big conflict in later episodes, likely starting in episode 20-25. Perhaps Dente was the one who manipulated Shouma's memories to cover up the mess he created when his failed experiment on Shouma's red Gavv caused Shouma to go berserk and assume his Wolf Granute form who kidnapped Hanto's mom. This type of fuzzy memories/manipulated memories trope (often abused to create cheap, lazy twists) is a typical sign of Yuuyaism, so yes, I think Gavv's writers are trying to out-Yuuya Yuuya Takahashi, haha. This subplot is similar to the one in (God forbid) Geats where the second Rider (Keiwa Sadboi) had a problem with the main Rider (Ace) because Keiwa Sadboi's family was indirectly killed by Ace's mom who was turned into the Goddess of Creation.
Sachika is having a slumber party with Emi and Hana at Emi's apartment, haha.
An unknown, desperate junkie Granute is trying to steal a box of Dark Snacks and is promptly restrained by 2 agents. He's then brought in front of Lango and Glotta @ 14:25 to be recruited as a new part-timer. It seems like Lango is planning to recruit junkie Granutes, thugs, and other desperate criminals as an aggressive measure to increase the procurement of the Hito Presses. Perhaps junkie thugs are what Lango meant by competence when he stated earlier that he'll recruit more competent part-timers.
Kenzou is doing a checkup on Hanto's body. He's wondering if the fast recovery rate is due to Granute organ that he transplanted into Hanto's body in episode 6. In the episode 7 thread
here
I hypothesized that the ultimate negative side effect of the organ transplantation will likely mutate Hanto's human DNA into a Granute's DNA, like what happened in District 9 (2009) when the human protagonist is slowly mutating into an alien creature after accidentally getting sprayed with fuel for alien ships, which actually contains alien DNA. If my hypothesis is correct, then it'd be very ironic because Hanto's grudge toward Granutes will cause him to be transformed into a Granute. His hate will basically transform him into the very thing he hates. If so, then maybe he needs to read some Nietzsche, haha. "Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster."
Hanto is also dumb because he goes straight to the friendly ally trope with Shouma. He doesn't bother to question what kind of Driver that Shouma's using, or at least trying to take a simple look at it, let alone asking other more crucial questions like who is backing Shouma and where does he get his Gochizous from. If he's trying to take a look at Shouma's Henshin Belt Gavv, then he'll immediately find that it's unremovable from Shouma's body, which gives a strong hint that Shouma is not a pure human. I think Hanto is deliberately written to be dumb like like this to make him think of Shouma as a human for several episodes like hinted in this episode, so that when he actually finds out that Shouma is a human-Granute hybrid, or worse, a human-Granute hybrid whose Granute form (Wolf Granute) was actually the one who kidnapped his mom 18 years ago like I elaborated above he'll likely snap, betray Shouma, and turn into a dark Rider like Keiwa Sadboi, haha. I really hope I'm wrong on this one.
In the scene @ 21:22, Shita and Jeebh are visited by Lango's agents who are bringing the news that they're no longer employees of Stomach corporation. They're then tossed out of the base camp by the agents. They blame their downfall on the red Gavv aka Shouma and vow to take revenge on him.
I've just realized there's a big logical anomaly that I've overlooked. If Shouma and his mom were house arrested by Bouche inside his mansion ever since he was born, then how could he know the details of the Dark Snack production? How does he know crucial details like the Hito Press procurement process, the fact that humans will die if their Hito Presses are broken, etc? Who told him those detailed pieces of information? Bouche? It unlikely, because he wanted to kept Shouma and his mom away from anything regarding Dark Snacks. Lango and the other Stomach siblings? They've been despising Shouma and his mom since the beginning, so it's very unlikely that they were the ones who told Shouma. Mother Stomach? It's even more unlikely since she's never proven to be still alive. Then the only remaining likely candidate is Dente. If Dente was indeed the person who spilled the crucial secrets about Dark Snacks to Shouma, then what's the motivation? Don't know!
Next week:
The debut appearance of Shita's and Jeebh's Granute forms, which look like wolves. I think they will get their asses kicked by KR Gav and or KR Valen, haha.
Also the debut of KR Gavv Bushel form. KR Gavv Caking form will likely debut around Christmas or New Year in episodes 16-18. Episodes 16-17 are more likely because New Year's episode 18 are usually reserved for the new Rider's debut. Or maybe KR Gavv Caking form will debut earlier in episodes 14-15 due to the tight schedule.
