Yep, looks like I nailed it regarding the fate of Hanto's mom. We also learned from Dente that it was his brother (Shoma's grandfather) who masterminded the creation of the Dark Snacks. I wouldn't be surprised if Grandpa Stomach is revealed to be alive and is the real main villain of the show...
