Also worth noting about this episode: during our "time moves forward" sequence, we see Shouma eating a number of seemingly-nutritious meals with friends, and this is punctuated by Shouma trying popcorn and immediately producing PopBurn. It seems Shouma's emotional connection to others when he eats a snack isn't the only thing that causes a Gochizo to be born. This makes me wonder whether the showrunners intend to delve into why Shouma only seems to vomit up new powers when he takes in (relatively) empty calories.

I suspect it'll have something to do with Shouma being mildly superhuman even when he's not transformed, and his huge energy crashes that can only be fixed by eating junky snacks.

We also establish that Shouma is actively supplying Hanto with more frappe Gochizos. I'm less clear on where Rakia's been getting his pudding and jelly Gochizos. It seems like he gets them from Dente?

I'm starting to despair about Sachika's opening-sequence yellow bubble remaining forever empty. Unless they're planning to save that for a movie again? I couldn't help but notice that Suga has now been removed from the opening credits, which I guess makes his status at the end of the previous episode clearer. No wonder the Bake suit was a repaint of Bitter Gavv. And alas, his departure means we'll likely never see our hero Riders defeat Bake by dunking him in a vat of milk.

I still cannot believe that Toei and Bandi went with a junk-food Rider, and that the resulting show is great.
