So now that it is wrapped up – yeah this was one of the worst form introductions I have ever seen. And it was the final one as well, oof.

The episode itself wasn’t bad, the whole quest to assemble the 100 Gochizo was great, it had really fun bits like Shouma giving back the snacks he wanted to buy or the whole cooking sequence, plus, it had a great revelation at the end, how snacks and sweets had become more like a kind of ammunition to Shouma so he needed to remember that it was the pleasure of eating them what drove his interest to begin with.

But the villain is just so boring and unimportant; there is no investment in the fight whatsoever, which makes the need for a new form redundant. It’s just a random guy to take down. It would’ve been much better if this was a “final” Bitter Gavv, like an actual Shouma clone, one that maybe questioned his existence and was angry at Shouma for having the life he never got.

There is some cool stuff brewing though, Glotta getting a bit of focus was a welcome surprise, and it seems like Lango enters the fray next week which is interesting.
