Finished watching JAKQ. What can I say: it wasn't bad at all, but I understand why viewers didn't like the show. Its main problem: it's enviable inconsistency, when the show doesn't just start out brutal and then becomes more fun, but changes tone every few episodes, and sometimes even connects the unconnected.
It had some great episodes, but they were just that, episodes, which would be much more enjoyable to watch separately later. At the same time, a lot of elements from JAKQ easily migrated to Battle Five J and even later Super Sentai shows, so it is quite possible that the show simply fell victim to the disputes between Toya and Ishinomori. In any case, it was an interesting experience.
And yes, Big One is definitely the first Sixth Senshi, even though he's the fifth.
Also: ISSIS members are dying in such huge numbers that even being a ZECT trooper or a policeman in Kuuga seems like a safe job in comparison.
P.S. In general, Tamasaburo ruined the show.
