Well, I must admit that my prediction turned out to be wrong, because this episode works as a prologue to the finale. It should be noted that the local apocalypse with smiling crowds going to the slaughter, even if it does not look as impressive as in previous shows, still looks frightening. And the method of salvation, although it seems far-fetched, is smart and unusual in its own way.
It must be admitted, however, that given its important role, cotton gochizo deserves its own form. This episode also confirmed that Gochizo's form and abilities largely depend on Shouma's imagination, and not on the snacks themselves. So yes, under different circumstances, this could have been a show based on any other food. Or even rocks.
It's also worth noting that Shouma told Masaru that he was a rider and had lost a close family member. At the same time, he kept silent about more personal and impressive information. Which is even justified, because in order to create Gochizo and save humanity, Shouma must be in an optimistic mood, which family dramas do not contribute to.
The farewell of the three riders, where they recognize each other’s merits, also turned out to be forgivable, but sincere. Valen and Vram go to the factory to save the pressed victims.
And Lakia has to stay behind to fight the army of Agents. In tokusatsu, foot soldiers usually play the role of extras for beating, so it is difficult to see them as a threat to the transformed hero. But don’t forget that thousands of ants defeat an elephant and in the end the number still decides. Plus, the Agents were initially positioned as serious opponents. So Vram will have a very difficult time. Although perhaps invisible jelly will help him?
Hanto escapes with Hito-Press because he is weaker. This seems logical, but ironically leads him to a one-on-one confrontation with Jeebh. Hanto tries to remind the surviving twin about revenge for Sheeta, but he is clearly in no mood to listen. As in the case of Lakia, the situation is dangerous, but not hopeless.
As for Shouma, he will face off against Lango. Senior Stomatch has regained control of the company and is aiming for the presidency, and for this he needs Dark Treats. So a new confrontation with the Bili riders is inevitable, but, as Hanto noted, he could, for the sake of decency, observe a formal truce until the supplies that Nyelv was counting on ran out. It should also be noted that it is Lango, and not Nyelv, who is the logical thinker in the family. He even justifies his hatred of Shouma. This makes him (and Bocca) a more real villain, but also boring and passive.
The expected turnaround in the relationship between Jeebh and Liesel happened, but only partially. Because if Liesel truly fell into despair after the death of her father, then Jeebh is clearly not ready to take her role. He is not even able to realize that, having become a rider, he can most likely compete with Lango. Actually, I think Jeebh is a criticism of characters like Jin from Zero One and Kengo from Kiva. Many viewers expected something spectacular from him, but in the end, some people simply do not change. And all Jeebh can do is be someone's lackey or appendage. It is quite possible that even in relations with Sheeta, that very unity of the twins was established only because he adjusted to his sister, and she did not abuse her brother’s weak character. Unlike everyone else.
Well, I'm looking forward to the ending and getting down to the big review of the show. Gavv undoubtedly deserves praise, as well as some valid criticism. In any case, it was delicious!
P.S. Nyelv also made his contribution by returning Shouma access to interdimensional doors. Apparently, he did have a plan B. Of course, he calculated that the riders would use this against Bocca, but here Lango miscalculated, not showing himself to his smart brother.
