But like Aguilera from Revice, the show keeps him alive for some reason and it doesn't add anything of value to the story, having lost his intimidation and proving in the finale that he hadn't changed.
As I said above, this'd be about the director too. There's the real essence of Gavv when Sugihara directed. The premiere ep. 1-2, Caking debut ep. 13-14, Valen Frappe debut ep. 27-28, and the much better Shoma vs Lango in ep. 35-36, were all directed by Sugihara and he truly knew what made Gavv is Gavv. Sugihara felt like a father to the casts and he watched the growth of Shoma's actors and everyone else. AmazinGummy aside, I feel Lango against Shoma in all of his weaker forms should be a no-contest with super speed and automatic force field.

Turns out Nyelve is really the only one in the entire company who can think independently, judging people's worth based on traits that are logistically useful to his goal of Stomach's prosperity.
Well yeah, though this is a Gavv discussion, I'm bringing this up more about generally. Though perhaps because it's illogical and is a 'bad writing', people may forget/ignore this and just blame Bouche for Lango and the other kids becoming evil due to his neglect (though for at least Nyelv, it's clearly due to Zomb), it's about trauma from mistreatment (common villain backstory) and coping with it, rather than acknowledging their illogical bigot views. Can also extend to, albeit not about bigotry, a lesser extent of people blaming Bocca for also neglecting Lizel other than spoiling her that turns her evil, when I doubt if Bocca raises her, he'd teach Lizel properly like discipining her (which I thought Zomb may mold the children to eat humans). Where in contrast, they see Shoma as only not evil because he's raised right by Michiru.

Glotta's dying words showed that Dente was even right about her loneliness and she was just too insecure and angry to admit it. Dente seems to know the Stomachs better than they know themselves and he also wanted to atone, so like his introduction to Lakia, he probably knew Glotta would kill him if she couldn't handle the truth, but still gambled his life to redeem her. Dente is interesting in this way, as the only character in the show capable of seeing the good in the villains we mostly see as evil.
But what'd you think about his views on Zomb compared to the others here? As it'd be what leads to harm of others in Dark Treats creation which Dente wanted to atone. And there can be clear flaws in him right like how he doesnt ask questions, not thinking about Michiru and Shouma's perspective (which is how Shoma explaining is seen as a correction to him), and running away from his mistake in Dark Treats at first.
