This. I think it's important to keep in mind that financially it would be for the best if they could get as many existing Sentai fans on-board with the new series as possible, so I think GI specifically will indeed be playing it relatively safe before they shake things up more. Even Kuuga and Agito were modernizations of classical Showa Rider narratives before things started getting more experimental with Ryuki. So a more gradual change is within expectations given everything we know.
