[Switchblade]

The series technically doesn't start until next week, but the Garo YouTube channel dropped an Episode 0 yesterday. It mostly recaps TOWSITD and Gold Storm but there's some set up for the new show's plot. It looks like it's got some direct connections to Gold Storm, but hopefully the writers can resist the urge to bring back Jinga yet a-fucking-gain.

Good news? Free to watch on YouTube with official subtitles in English! (I do not know which regions, but it works in the US)

Bad news? The subtitles are obviously machine translated again. I assume TVN will provide fansubs again, but we'll have to wait and see. Until then, enjoy no understanding of how gendered pronouns or plural S-es work.

Personally, I thought the episode 0 was fun, especially as someone who has not gone back and watched these shows since they first aired. I still remember the shows fairly well, at least Gold Storm, but there were several details that I'd forgotten. It's a lot of fun to see the baby versions of Ryuga and Rian and then see them as actual adults now (modern Miki Nanri is absolutely stunning; I don't want to be a creep but I cannot just ignore it).

The series properly starts up on the 5th and I'm really looking forward to it now.
