I'd imagine Emoto was also slightly surprised that a speech about how friendship doesn't require constant companionship was concluded by all of Gentarou's showing up in person, slightly undercutting Gentarou's beautiful point about the invisible and infinite bonds of friendship.

(I'm kidding! It's totally appropriate for JK, Shun, Yuuki and Miu to affirm in person that their friendship with Gentarou is larger than their fear of what Virgo might do to them, while also being a rousing and heroic visual! But it's still sort of undermining Gentarou's point!)
