Both morbidly fascinated and concerned that Kunai is clearly going to have his wall obsession played for all its worth in this show.

This is an episode with a lot of fun scenes with the cast doing various wacky things, but I think the limitations of the show's basic episodic plots are on full display here too. It feels like there is a big gap between the show's attempt at using aliens as an allegory for serious social issues and the fact the story tends to resolve everything is an ultra simplistic manner. In this episode we have immigrants who are struggling with a lack of access to resources or support they need and the solution is apparently just to get a dragon mech to suck up a bunch of really good water from somewhere else. This... says nothing about anything. Maybe she show would benefit from leaning more in a more lighthearted or more serious direction.
