It's amazing that a story about tears can be so funny! The way Setsuna remains completely serious in the most ridiculous situations is simply the height of comedy. I also liked the explanation of why, of all the emotions, he focused on such a seemingly unwanted emotion as sadness. Indeed, it's harder for an android to cry than to laugh.
But there's plenty of drama in this story, too. The criminal's goal: to save his wife. And while I can't help but think he could have simply asked for help instead of kidnapping people, in situations like these, people tend to make stupid decisions. Plus, you can add the influence of NegaEmorgear.
Despite the title, Setsuna and Kunai's interactions weren't extensive. Still, they were quite funny, especially when they got along wonderfully at the end. It's also quite unusual that it's the newcomer Kunai who decides to assemble a team of Gavans to fight a powerful galactic evil. It makes sense, though, since his Earth's main criminal has been neutralized, so he has more free time than Reiji.
Overall, I enjoyed everything. And the next episode, as expected, takes Kunai to Luminos Earth. But Kiki herself has been kidnapped! I'm very curious to see what happens next.
P.S. Rain of tears is very poetic.
