The light engulfed them consuming the rest of the room. Mellissa was taken by fire. Flames swirling around her angrily, snaring her hands and feet created gloves and boots that were white. With a ring of black along the ends lined with gold. Her body became consumed by the fires surrounding her. Creating a smooth suit of crimson red and a V of white against her chest. Her suit mimicking robes over a white tunic. Complete with trails of the coat expanding from her belt. The final piece was her helmet. Solid red with no mouth piece, a single black visor that down turned angrily trimmed with white, and the crest of her family in the shape of a shield just above.
Next was her trusted guard and knight, Malcolm. The ground rose up around him ensnaring his arms and legs, his entire body, within the soil itself. Revealing the same suit as Mellissa though in stately Black. Dwayne became trapped within a sea of vines as the forests themselves rose up all around him with magnificent green. Creating his suit, same as the others, in vibrant green. Jennifer and Mallory were both taken by the Wind and the Seas, having their suits formed around them only each had small skirts around their waists beneath the trails of the faux-coat. And white pant legs beneath.
The power surrounding them slowly disappeared, leaving them standing in the ruins of what was once their school’s auditorium. Watching as the encroaching army of lizards marched ever closer. “Everyone, you’ll know how to use your abilities when the time’s right.. And remember, above all else, you’re fighting for everyone you love. Work together and we cannot lose. ... Guardian Beast Blade!” Red Ranger pressed her hand against her buckle, removing the small jewel inside and tossing it skyward. Watching as it created her powerful weapon. The sword was a simple one, with a recess beneath the blade where she plugged in the jewel. Mallory gave her sister a glance, and both nodded.

Black’s weapon was a powerful one handed axe, with a solid black blade lined in silver. And it was in that blade he now placed his crystal. Green’s weapon began as a staff, his crystal splitting into two pieces allowing him to place one half in each dagger end just beneath the triangle blades. Blues Bow was styled as a long bow almost matching her five foot six height, with a quiver materializing on her back. Her crystal fit into the center of her weapon. And Yellow’s the sturdy shield, was a round buckler that fit over her right hand with her jewel in the middle of the swirling design. The perfect weapon for throwing.
“Yellow protect your sister as she aims for the Lizards manning their long range weapons! Green, flank them from the side with Black and thin them. I’ll draw their fire straight down the middle.. For Earth!”
Jennifer took position beside her sister. Using her shield arm to knock away incoming arrows and rocks flung by slings, while Mallory behind her took aim with her arrows and flew them deep into the rampaging enemy. Her arrows, tinted and glowing blue as they soared, split into hundreds of projectiles raining down on the enemy beneath. Black and Green both chose their side of the enemy front, launching themselves into the thickest of the fray. Malcolm was relishing the chance to avenge his fallen Kingdom. Swinging his Axe in a wide arc, taking ten and sometimes twenty enemies at a time. Sending them flying high only to be caught by Blue’s rainstorm of arrows. While Green struck low. Tripping, flipping some over his body, ripping through one after another.
And Mellissa took down the middle engaging the thickest of the fighting. Remembering her kingdom, her father, all those people lost within the walls of the Castle as she brought her sword down against these monsters.
“Hey Jen? I’m not the only who thinks this is nuts right?” Jennifer just shrugged, catching her thrown Shield perfectly back against her arm. Before gripping the weapon and hurling it again. Watching as it bounced off almost three Lizardmen before returning her in a perfect widened arc. “Does any of this make sense? We’re being attacked by Godzilla’s illegitimate kids, being led by Princess Zelda and Knight Doesn’t-Talk! Long as we stop these things from hurting our friends, from hurting mom? I’ll work through nuts.” That worked for Mallory.
Green Ranger flipped over the horde. Breaking his weapon into two separate daggers which he held back against his wrists. Slashing through one Lizard after another as he worked his way towards Malcolm. “So what’s your deal? You talk?” Malcolm brought down his Axe. Splitting the Earth, sending Pillars of Rock skyward and Lizardmen flying every which direction along with them. “When I must.” When he must? Launching himself onto the shoulders of another Lizard, Dwayne held down the helmet down over his head. Chuckling as he watched the helpless monster flail and try and free himself underneath him. “Come on, man. You gotta open up a little. The Hell are these things? You datin’ Princess Alder over there? If not, is she single?” Malcolm stomach kicked the Lizard from underneath Dwayne, taking it out with a single swing of his axe. “No, and Yes. But I would focus on the fight first and your libido second. We still have work to do.” ... Yea, alright. He could live with that. Kicking himself back to his feet they both took off for the lines of Lizards once again.
Mellissa though just shook her head. After the fight she’d have to explain that the helmets acted like communicators and she could hear them. Beating through the lines the Lizards finally broke. But.. they weren’t running. Mellissa paused, her newfound friends joining her side as each of the once rampaging army sunk into the shadows wherever they found them. Mellissa knew what was coming! “Get ready, everyone.. There’s a General coming. The one commanding all those Lizards. Remember.. We fight together and no one can beat us.” Looking down the line each new Ranger gave a nod and gripped their weapons tighter.. And that was when they saw it.
The General was draped in a long white furred cloak. Looking like a twisted, upright walking boar wearing Spartan’s armor. Snorting roughly, the animal shook off his cloak. Revealing his gray hide and black armor underneath as it gripped his swords tight. “Die.” Launching himself skyward the Rangers scattered moments before he struck the ground where they once stood, making the Earth underneath him shake from the sheer force of it.
And he targeted Mellissa first. She brought up her sword, deflecting blow after blow but she was slowly losing ground against the Beast. Until Malcolm launched himself from behind, striking across the Boar’s back with his axe. Only to have the Beast turn and take countless arrow shots into his now exposed back. He took one of his swords. Throwing it towards Mallory but the sword was deflected by the shield thrown from Guardian Yellow.
The Boar began looking around. Green.. Where was Green? “Power of the Wood.. Ensnare!” The Monster General snorted and squeeled angrily. Being pulled from the ground by vines wrapping around his wrists and ankles, part of a great tree growing underneath him. “Mmmmga... Anytime Guys! I can’t hold this thing forever, you know!” Each gripped their weapons as they began to glow.. and called upon their power.

Volcanic Eruption!
Earthen Quake!
Tempest of the Skies!
Watery Maelstrom!
Crushing Green!

They each attacked the helpless general from another direction. Black’s Axe struck the ground. Creating a single pillar of rock jutting from the ground and knocking the Beast helplessly skyward. Where it was caught by the great tornado created by Yellow. Spinning, unable to stop inside the swirling wind, he found himself being assaulted by sharpened leaves from the forests left standing. Slicing at his body. Next came Blue. Her cyclone of water captured the Beast, combining with Yellow’s power, crushing his body beneath the pressure of the waves until both attacks freed the weakened beast. Leaving him for Red.. Gripping her sword tight she swung the blade as the Beast was a mere twp feet above her.. Slicing the animal clean down the middle, making each half explode as the beast was destroyed by his own power rupturing.
Least they thought that was the end. Until some great rumbling voice, so deep the ground shook underneath them, brought the Beast back to life. Evil Rise! They watched as the Beast reformed. Growing almost tall as an entire office block, and snarling down at the mini-rangers under hoof. “Everyone! Take out your crystals, call on your Guardian Beast.. We need the Megazord!”
