Gold Plastic Syndrome It's a pretty commonly known, and very rampant, problem with toys manufactured using gold plastic in the 80's and 90's, especially Transformers. But pretty much any toy manufactured in that time frame using that kind of dark swirly gold plastic is susceptible to it.

Certain shades of brown and magenta suffer from it as well. That plastic just more easily discolors and degrades over time. Some of the biggest examples of this are G1 Black Zarak and G1 Monstructor. Other minor examples being Beast Wars Fuzros Torca, Beast Wars Grimlock (a Dinobot repaint), Transmetals Megatron, and your unfortunate power ranger monster there. There are a ton of examples of this issue out there.

See above. New figures don't really share the same kind of shoddy production of that time period. And for the most part Fourze is painted gold not molded in it. And the parts that are aren't nearly the same kind of or color of plastic.
