I would've liked to have seen how he and Shotaro met. Between that and the specifics of how he met Shroud/became a Rider, there's more potential for a story there than "Eternal was once kind of a good guy but not really." I mean, it felt less like expanding a character and flat-out making shit up.Like you said, it felt pointless. I guess he must be popular over there or something. (Although personally I think he's ugly, in and out of his Rider costume )

I also watched Accel Returns a while go and it was also just okay.
