Yeah, but I didn't know that. I'd never seen that phrase before in my life. To me it was just a random bit of Japanese that makes no sense beyond having something to do with paying your bill at a restaurant.

In general, TVN's Boukenger subs are really, really bad (and not just for the crap video quality). That line aside, there are a lot of problems with it. The show is full of homophone confusion ("you're" instead of "your," for example), malapropisms, and just plain awkward English ("I'm brimming with earnestness!"). I've seen a lot of TVN's stuff and I can't think of a show they've done with worse translations. Honestly, part of me wants to just drop this and watch something from a different group. I have to keep telling myself that if I can watch Kamen Rider X on HK subs, I can make it through this. It probably helps that I'm really enjoying the show (so much better than Operation Overdrive, especially their Blue).

The show itself is very good, I think most people skip over it because of the sub par subs it has. I'm definitely one of the TVN fanboys but even I can admit that Boukenger is not one of their best works. The only other series they've done that I think had worse translations and worse video quality issues is Dekaranger. Episode to episode they don't even use the same rollcall dialogue. I love Dekaranger but TVN didn't do a perfect job of it. Boukenger suffers from poor video quality and a few less than perfect translations. But it's hard to quit watching it based on those problems, it's just such a good fun show.
