Deker was married to Daiyu, when they both were human. But a fire threatened to take him so she called for help. Sadly the help she got was from the Nighlok named Serrator. He promised to restore him if she served Serrator, and she agreed. But he brought Deker back wrong. He didn't remember who he was, just that needed to fight. All so Serrator could use him to rip open the Sanzu River and flood the world.
