Yeah, I'm not quitting the show or anything because of it. I've had enough bum premieres or frustrating debuts end up going the other way on a long enough timeline (!!!) that I can see Sougo becoming a character I don't dislike.

They just needed to either ground his aspirations in something relatable (or make it actually seem like an "aspiration", rather than his Safety Pick), or have someone in the show treat his intentions as more than just Oh You. Instead, it feels like the show has a gaping hole where it's core elements - Theme, Motivation, Goal - should be.

I imagine it's something the show will come to in time (!!!), but it really needed to be in the premiere. Like, more than anything else.
