Now I'm stoked for the next episode, it's quite a big cliffhanger, for Keiwa, not fully getting into the grasp of the game yet (though he figured out the Concentration game like Ace) and also being paired with an unreliable partner, how'd he get out of this situation, though it's likely Morio who got eliminated next due to not being the main 4.
It's just expected that Michinaga would have more things going for him rather than being a jerk, like numerous Riders of this type in previous serieses. Michinaga seems to have soft spot (or likely just generally a better person before Toru's death) towards his circle, his construction co-workers, particularly Toru Imai, but to other co-workers he's also cordial, albeit reserved, he turns down their invitation politely. He seems to hide his sadness too when he craves understanding in being angry to Ace which he perceives as a snob. Still that doesn't mean he's not a jerk or ruthless to at least other Riders though, this does establish that he's not a bad guy overall, expected too as being a jerk doesn't mean bad guy (though it does make him morally worse), though Kanato was one.
Keiwa makes a rather interesting dynamic with Michinaga. Due to his helpful and peacemaking nature (though he wasn't exactly happy being paired with him), Keiwa sort of tried to be Michinaga's therapist, and it can make some cracks to Michinaga's behavior, giving the audience more picture of him, like telling why he uses guns as melee weapons (of which.. it's Michinaga hindering the team) opening up about his preference to Zombie Buckle, and giving him a bit of guidance that getting a Buckle with matching ID isn't worth losing Boost. In a long-term, Keiwa benefits the opponent's team more though by agreeing to give away Boost, as previously both Ace and Michinaga are on similar terms before/after the deal, both had mismatched Buckles before, now they have best-match Buckle, only that Boost is now on opponent's hand, though Michinaga was a poor Magnum user unlike how Ace uses Zombie.
Overall it's not successful yet though, he's still hostile and standoffish overall, and later agreed to switch teams with Morio, Michinaga's loner tendencies is also a liability in a team, even if he's a strong fighter, but Concentration game requires more than just beating up Trump Jamatos, and Keiwa's the one who figured it out. DGP isn't a game about putting other players down other than surpassing their points, it's based on cooperation. This view also can happen in real life too, like sports that has multiple players in a team that can have people focus on who contributes the best, wouldn't even care if they sabotage their teammate or such, missing the point of the team part, only the individual player part.
Punk Jack makes its debut, and so far it's established as a DGP staff (so not AI) that has a rule of staying anonymous, thus they can't speak or reveal their identity. Obviously, this can make him even more of a liability than Michinaga as a team, albeit he's a good fighter, as there are no communication at all between his team, which leads into Punk Jack doing moves like kill stealing from Mary. Apparently for some reason Punk Jack needs to be literally dragged too. Doesn't mean Punk Jack has no defining behavior though, as seen in Punk Jack punching Morio's neck after Morio jabs him for being useless, of which it's unscripted with Punk Jack's suit actor apologizing to Koji Abe.
Morio being an older guy can give Haima/early Genta vibes from the show's preview before (and his debut kinda), and he does have some comic relief role too like said Punk Jack interaction, but he's a different one as he's a certified scumbag. He seems to be Geats' version of Imperer, both are farm-themed Riders who put up a nice act in front of others, and are driven by luxurious desires (Sano thinks it's happiness and Morio brought up money when talking about desires), but in reality they're only opportunists who only cares about putting themselves in advantageous position, including using cheap tactics, for here it's Team Swap Chance Ticket. He treats those who can't be useful to him with disdain as well, like isolating infected Neon or looking down on Keiwa. His Mary motif is used for "wolf in sheep's clothing" type. So here the Desire Money can be used for something more useful than just clothes like Neon did before.
The strongest pair is obviously Ace and Neon, and not only due to Ace, in previous episode Neon has become a competent fighter, and here they actually kept her growth, keeping up with Ace's Magnum Boost form. Other than his casanova flirting ways, Ace seems to treat women well, viewing them as actual person, which he does to Neon here. He actually trusts her abilities, only giving the necessary command without controlling her, unlike her family. Ace understands teamwork too, unlike Michinaga, to know that supporting the teammate is also important by letting her have Claw Buckle. About Ginpen's death before, I do wonder if Geats actually could've saved Ginpen or such, but this'd be likely addressed in Michinaga's story later, of which it seems that Geats didn't save Toru while he can, making Michinaga vengeful to him. Ace doesn't show much reaction to events around him, the flashback may confirm Ace as someone indifferent or such.
Neon's on even better term with Ace and she's all supportive or even fawning over him. One of her video stream type is singing and dancing (as an idol), and here it's implemented in her fight to coordinate their moves. This'd likely foreshadow Beats Na-Go. Not on Morio's level, but she's still a DGP player through and through, she'd be driven to win especially after becoming competent player, and here she seems to practice never playing into the hands of the opponent, as she thought Keiwa's a trickster to try making a deal to Ace that sounds advantageous to them by shilling Magnum Buckle (but it's to benefit Michinaga which obviously Keiwa would hide), thus she further Na-Gotiates with asking for Boost Buckle as well instead of settling. She acted rather bratty here to someone who helped her before though albeit it's defensive (perceiving another dirty tactics in eavesdropping).
