The name is Nijigon (niji + dragon), but haven't we had a dragon Chemy (Dragonalos)? Nijigon has been rumored to grant Gotchard's final form. I wish Gotchard's final form will still partner with the ultimate forms of Steamliner and Hopper1, or at least Hopper1. It makes more sense if Gotchard's final form is granted by Hopper1, not a brand new Chemy, since Hopper1 has been established as Houtarou's Gotcha and BFF. What's the fitting name? MugenHopper? Haha.
Yep, that's the guy. Nijigon would actually be the third dragon Chemy, as the Fantastic category has both Gigabaham and Dragonalos. Gotchard's form progression reminds me of Ghost's. The protagonist's bond with the sentient gimmick items is represented by Grateful and Platina, while the protagonist's power unique to them is represented by Mugen and Rainbow. At least that's where I think this is going, since Houtarou's arc is about chasing his "Gotcha", something that's unique to him.

have a beastly form, but later managed to be tamed by Houtarou and turned into the toyetic form and given a pair of goggles? My hypothesis is that Nijigon could be the Chemy created by Houtarou's dad (which could be the Alchemist of Dawn) from the positive force of creation as a countermeasure against the uber-demon's destructive powers. Another possibility is that Nijigon is Houtarou's dad/the Alchemist of Dawn who fused himself with the raw, beastly form of the force of creation and turned into a Chemy, which may explain why it has goggles. It may also explain why Houtarou's dad is never home.
Nijigon could be Houtarou, Rinne, Fuuga, Alchemist of Dawn or Houtarou's father. I've seen solid theories to support all of these possibilities. Considering that memory loss is likely in effect, it's even possible that any combination of the last 3 people are actually the same. I'm currently undecided, but I believe that Houtarou and Nijigon are separate, albeit certainly connected in some profound way, as we know that the stronger the bond between human and Chemies, the stronger the Gotcha-N-Go.

Yep, that's what I heard. His full name was apparently mentioned as Hermes Trismegistus in the Episode 27 production notes.

I used to not like Spanner much, but after seeing his softer side with Kyoka, I can appreciate him more. So what characters do you like, other than Lachesis?

Also, I think this episode will be really helpful to the show's target audience, if not in a romantic way, then in a friendship way. For when more than two are friends, that is where jealousy will appear. I also liked the cute moments, like the encouragement from Minato, Spanner not being able to hit even a copy of Kyoko, and Kajiki remembering Hiyori.
While I often enjoy Inoue's (Toshiki, I mean) crazy love triangles and yandere plots, I agree that it's important to show the healthy way to deal with these scenarios as well. Seina asks for Rinne's permission to date Houtarou. Nobody gives Houtarou an ultimatum to choose a girl. Rinne and Seina even become friends at the end. It's all good, polite and healthy, which may not have the same level of drama but I think we should seriously appreciate the impressive emotional maturity of these teenagers. Valvarad knowing it's a fake Kyoka but openly admitting he can't just strike is another good humanizing moment, that reminds us how much Spanner cares about Kyoka.

Honestly, I'm biased in this case, as I can actually identify Kijino and Sonoza as Toei/Ishinomori-affiliated heroes, unlike that Aoyagi guy.

Feels like some people just have a double standard. They want Gotchard to be more like Majade and Majade to be more like Gotchard.

Exactly. Both of them have pushed the limits of their Rider Systems, to the detriment of their physical welfare. They're the most passionate members of their respective trios and if anybody can convince Clotho to believe in Lachesis, I think Houtarou could manage it.

Now that you mention it, a vehicle-themed Rider without a vehicle is pretty unfortunate. What an unfunny joke.
