Continuing my take on the retrofire line, I present the Astro Megazord from Power Rangers In Space (or the Galaxy Mega from Denji Sentai Megaranger, if you prefer).

The Astro Megazord has 18 points of articulation and comes with it's sword, shield, and blaster. It stands around 5.5 inches tall, right in scale with SRCs but can be larger than other retrofires.

The Astro Megazord was made primarily from a 5' Astro Megazord from the Action Zord subline and a classics 2-pack Optimus Prime. It was painted with citadel brand acrylics and detailed with a gundam marker.

Scale wise, how well does it size up to the other Retrofires?

Yours is a ton better than anything they could have come up with. Truly terrific use of parts, I can't spot the Optimus parts at all.

Just added a comparison photo. It really depends on which retrofire. The Astro Megazord is about the same height as the MMPR, Megaforce, and Jungle Fury Megazords but a hair taller than the rest.

It's right in scale with SRCs though.

Meh. I don't know. Too much Panel lining for me. Though it does look rather lovely in that shot with Dekaranger Robo.
