Differences here and there. Shinji is a jack of all trades instead of working for ORE Journal. Ren and Yui are friends with benefits. Ren is still together with Eri while banging Yui on the side. Kitaoka has alzheimers. Goro's mouth is sown shut with a golden wire, and can't speak. There are no cards at all. They transform with an emblem in front of a mirror and jump straight into the Mirror World. Apart from everything is mirrored, there is no sound in the Mirror World. They're not called Kamen Riders. Instead it's Kamen Keiyakusha (Masked Contractor), altough it does say Rider in smaller katakana next to the kanji. Asakura makes you instantly realize it's Inoue behind this book. He's the embodiment of Inoue characters, reminds me a bit of Kusaka from the Faiz novel. Not the whole rape thing, but his personality.

Femme asks Shinji to pretend to be her boyfriend, they end up dating for real and have sex.

Still the same battle royale, the ending is nearly identical to the TV series. It's not too different from the TV series, it's just 10 times edgier with unnecessary sex and violence.

They're not all this wtf, but most of them seem to be missed opportunity AU stories. I think W and Blade are the only ones that actually tried to do something associated with the show itself.

You'd think they'd do Side Stories that happened during the show, or AU stories like you said. Not this Alternate vision of the show.

Kuuga was a sequel, too. Had something to do with a second Rider appearing.

But yeah, the whole project seems very disappointing and lackluster.
