Can someone explain them to me? Yes, I know gimmicks make money. And I actually like the Hotdog scooper. I just don't know anything about them. And a question popped up, while watching the Cosmic States henshin. Why do they have switches?

Following the trend of Kamen Rider W, they were made as "Assist Robots" for the club. The reason they have the Switches is to function and to utilize their different abilities:
Burgermeal (バガミール Bagamīru) is a hamburger-themed support mecha that is used for reconnaissance. It can transmit holographic and photographic information directly to the Rabbit Hatch over the Internet in real time. It is also compatible with the Camera Switch. Mega Burgermeal (メガバガミール Mega Bagamīru) is a special version of Burgermeal which has five layers of "hamburgers" instead of one and cheese, created by Nadeshiko. It is also more powerful as it can take any enemy attack. Potechokin (ポテチョキン) is a cup of french fries-themed support mecha that is used to cut things. It is also compatible with the Scissors Switch. Hulashake (フラシェキー Furashekī) is a milkshake-themed support mecha. It is also compatible with the Flash Switch, releasing a bright and disorienting flash of light. Horuwankov (ホルワンコフ Horuwankofu) is a hot dog-themed support dog mecha. It is also compatible with the Schop Switch, turning it into a powerful mini-bulldozer. Softonya (ソフトーニャ Sofutōnya) is an ice cream cone-themed support mecha. It is also compatible with the Freeze Switch, allowing it to blow a freezing cold blast of air. Nuggegyroika (ナゲジャロイカ Nagejaroika) is a chicken nugget box-themed support mecha. It is also compatible with the Gyro Switch, allowing it to send out its four Tsunugget (ツナゲット Tsunagetto) mini-droids to follow people. Each of the Tsuneggets are named after one of the Galilean moons of Jupiter: the surprised and pink-eyed Nuggeropa (ナゲロパ Nageropa, Europa), the sad and green-eyed Nuggeio (ナゲイオ Nageio, Io), the happy and yellow-eyed Nuggemede (ナゲメデ Nagemede, Ganymede), and the angry and red-eyed Nuggesto (ナゲスト Nagesuto, Callisto). And why they are food? Yuki designed them

They're powered by the switches, and I believe they receive certain abilities due to the switches (Burgermeal uses Camera to record, the ice cream cone uses Freeze, the hot dog uses Scooper, etc).
It also justifies Camera, since Fourze doesn't have to lose his left arm switch to use it and Burgermeal is small, quick, and easily wielded (Unlike the clunky Camera Module). |

Oooooh. Okay. So they make useless switches more useful, give the club weapons to help Fourze, and give him options for recon and stuff. Now it makes a little more sense.

cb1 may be right about Megaforce using smaller robots to advertise in the series. There's no way Datas is going to find a market here in the States sadly.
