This is about how I feel. Episode 48 is certainly fantastic and made me cry with the immaculately paced farewell scene, but I don't really begrudge the happy ending for the Narumi Detective Agency in 49 either, especially since it didn't come without a cost since Wakana gave her life to Philip. There are certainly many instances of characters coming back from the dead in the series that are handled in a much worse manner.
