From Orend's Range:
After days of teasing, MTV Geek reports that Papercutz will release a new series of graphic novels based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! The first issue will be released on May 2014. The series is written by Stefan Petrucha, the same author of the Power Rangers Samurai, Super Samurai and Megaforce graphic novels and PH Marcondes as the illustrator. The first issue will take place in the show's first season as the Rangers will face an all-new villain. Lastly, MTV Geek got a chance to interview Power Rangers graphic novel editor Michael Petranek about the new series. You can read the full interview here. The original write-up can be seen here: Orend's Range |

Oh god, that horrible art looks just like the comic book of the Powerful Rangers in Akibarangers.
It's like its parodying itself. |

I was really hoping that idw would do a reboot comic because of well they treat their liceneced books, but those dreams were dashed. I won't say anything negative because I wanted this to happen. And frankly it's cool it's happening at all.

I can only imagine how amazing that comic would be and the potential for a better Tmnt team up!
And infestation 3? The megazord vs Cthulhu! Oh the possibilities down the drain... We all know how much Zordon loved to lock up evil beings in dumpsters never to be seen again. What if he is the one who put Cthulhu away ? Damn you guys for dropping the ball Last edited by Kamen Rider Meteor; 07-18-2013 at 12:12 PM.. |

I actually like the art. Reminds me of the Power Rangers comics I used to buy as a kid.

I don't have a problem with muscled rangers, but Rita's face looks like that kind of high school art "I want to draw anime, but I don't want to be a shameless anime ripoff" level of in between that I've seen many a time.

Yeah the Rita face is pretty bad, I was more referring to the rangers themselves.
From memory I don't think I ever had any comics with Rita in, I think they were all Lord Zedd era ones .
