After finishing Faiz this summer, I couldn't help but feel let down. It had so many cool concepts, interesting themes and ideas, but at the end didn't really do much with it. The characters ran around in circles, the ending sucked, and I feel that it just couldn't properly execute what it was trying to do.
Regardless, I still enjoyed it, perhaps moreso for what it could have been than what it was, but I'm wondering what the community would do to improve it. First and foremost, Mihara shouldn't have existed. He was pretty much just introduced to be the main Delta gear user and that's basically it. I feel like there were about a million more plot relevant characters than Mihara. Usually I'm fine with it in shows like Ryuki and Gaim where the intent is to give belts to a bunch of people and let them go wild but in a show with only 3 riders, you shouldn't feel like one is completely forgettable like that. Personally I think Kiba should have been Delta. He's the very first main character we see in the show so it looks like the set up is all there for him to become a Rider. Yeah he 'borrows' the Kaixa gear but at that point in the show, Kusaka has a pretty firm grasp on the role of Kaixa. Kiba really should have had a rider identity all, or at least mostly, to himself and given how utterly pointless Mihara is, Delta is the obvious option.

I'd keep the suits, keep the actors, and replace the writer.

Make Kaidou Delta. Have Kusaka actually kill the Dragon Orphenoch and trying to accomplish some part of his goal. Not have Kiba take that dark turn at the end. Have Takumi actually mention that Kusaka was bullying him or something like that. Put Orga and Psyga in the Series.

Improving, like closing all the plot holes Inoue left in the scenario ?
I'll have the characters just TALK to each others at some moments. If some of them have been written with realistic communication skills, the serie would have last 10 episodes. But no, it's Inoue obsession, that started around Agito writing, that people can't understand each others.

As others mentioned more communication but even I could live with what we had if they changed one thing.
Get a new set of villains, seriously other than Kitazaki Lucky Clover was a joke. I mean they spent more than half the series trying to find their fourth member, and considering it was always the same formula of going after Takumi and Kiba with a random mook, you knew wouldn't work just making most episodes feel like filler. That's why Kusaka(besides Kiba) became my favorite character. He was insane, screwed up the cast relationships, but at least he was interesting and caused conflict to get the plot moving. The stretch after Kusaka leaves after his introductory episodes and comes back were mindnumbingly boring. When he came back and moved the plot a bit I was cheering...even thought I hated him earlier. All because of how useless Lucky Clover was.

Seeing as how I just finished this series last weekend I have a bit to say on this:
-Either make Mihara more interesting or remove him entirely. Then either give the Delta Gear to someone interesting or do the same for it. It's clear Inoue really didn't want to use it once Dragon Orphnoch was done with it if at all. -Severely reduce the miscommunication/lack of communication. So many times Faiz would fight Kaixa and never explain why he stopped him from doing this or that. -Use Blaster Form more often: Again, Inoue does not like to use the new toys. -Come up with better origins or better explain how Faiz got his upgrades: Same as above. We can easily infer where he got them from but it was done so haphazardly. -Don't have Kiba heel turn: I hated both his losing hope and his way to fast regaining of his ideal. He's been so strong on his ideals throughout the entire series and breaks over a misunderstanding of an admittedly tragic event. He wasn't even the final villain of the show anyway. -Pen Pal subplot: I wanted this resolved much earlier, instead it was dropped for probably half the show and brought back right near the end.
