Today is the 25th Anniversary of Mechanical Violator Hakaider. The movie was directed by Keita Amemiya (Garo, Kamen Rider ZO, etc) and is a more edger take on Hakaider. Unlike in the anime and manga of Kikaider, Hakaider is an anti-hero than a villain.
The movie is awesome in my opinion and it is worth checking out.

Love this movie. The fight in the white room near the end is really cool. I love how all the collateral damage exposes red material underneath the surface, making it look like the room is bleeding.

I have not seen this movie, but I do know the aesthetic is fantastic, and that one clip of hakaider igniting the flower, and saying "if you are justice then I am evil," to the face of fascism is such an ishinomori quote, and it's amazing.

I do wish Keita Amemiya would do another Kamen Rider or another Henshin Hero show in a similar style that he did with Kamen Rider ZO-J and Hakaider.
