New York Comic Con 2013 is upon us! Pictures from unfinished displays have already started to roll in from exhibitors, but we also have boots on the ground and will have high resolution pictures to share with everyone Thursday early afternoon!
In the meantime, the Power Rangers toy super-sleuth raz has been hacking various online stores (not really hacking) and finding listings for new upcoming items that are Super Mega! Check out this list of Power Rangers Super Megaforce toys that he found via Wal-Mart's online store: Basic Battle Gear: 38036 - Pwr Mega Blaster 38037 - Pwr Mega Sword Deluxe Battle Gear: 38046 - Pwr Dlx Mega Saber Cycles: 38071 - Pwr Zord Cycle Red 38072 - Pwr Zord Cycle Blue 38073 - Pwr Zord Cycle Green 38081, 38082 and 38083 are coming up as zord vehicles with figures now 4" Figures: 38201 - Pwr Red Action Hero 38202 - Pwr Blue Action Hero 38203 - Pwr Green Figure 38204 - Pwr Yellow Figure 38205 - Pwr Pink Action Hero 38206 - Nothing 38207 - Pwr Prince Vekar 38208 - Pwr X Borg 38209 - Pwr Red Action Hero 38210 - Pwr Robo Knight 38211 - Pwr MM Red Figure 38212 - Pwr MM Green 38213 - Pwr MM White Ranger 38214 - Nothing 38215 - Pwr Zeo Red So we have some new questions! What exactly is X Borg? Could it be the cyborg henchman from Gokaiger known as Barizorg? Or is it the name of the foot soldiers? And don't pretend like you didn't see that listing for the Power Rangers Zeo Red Ranger figure in the 4 inch size class. Stay tuned for more news as it comes! We have boots on the ground at NYCC 2013 and hope to talk with Bandai of America, Bluefin Tamashii Nations, and we'll swing by the booth for the independent film MMPR and see what's new there for those interested! Follow us on Twitter! @TokuNation And "Like" us on Facebook! Special thanks to our good friend raz for the heads up! You should follow him on Twitter @razzle1337

X Borg.. Could this be the name of the troopers or.. Is that what they're calling Barizog?
Prince Veker sounds alright. And I bet Zeo is doing backflips about a Powered Zeo Red ![]() Last edited by Sentai; 10-10-2013 at 02:50 AM.. |

I guess it could swing either way. Its not often we get villains outside of the main villain and a grunt though.

My thinking is it's the name of the American Gormin, rather then Barizorg. As much as I would love a little Bari figure for my desk.

"Power Zord Cycles" are a bit worrying. The four rideable zords of Samurai were bad, but not SUPER bad, the Megaforce bikes worked as a way to get the Headders and have Ultra Gosei Great without Datas, but I worry about how this line will handle the Gokaiger mecha.
Cutting the opening gimmick of Gokaioh was bizarre and stupid to begin with, but I don't see how Gaolion, Furaimaru, Magidragon and Patstriker can be turned into rideable bikes without being absolute crap. I know I have the BOJ releases of them all, so I wouldn't be buying them either way, but it'd still be nice if BOA put some effort into the line. Looking at the incredibly tiny and chubby and just plain bad looking keys and the neutered Gokaioh along with the potential of the other mechs being turned into bikes, I'm feeling like the Super Megaforce line isn't even going to nearly compare to BOJ's Gokaiger line, which was just great. I might still get the 4", because I love the Gokaiger suits, even though I have the Figuarts, but it looks like I'll just completely skip everything else. I'm still disappointed they didn't include compatibility with the JP Ranger Keys, but I guess that was a pipe dream in the first place... At least a 4" Zeo Ranger is cool. I'd love for more series to get updated 4" figures for the anniversary. |
