Which design from all three eras of Godzilla do you like the most? My favorites are.
Showa: 1964 Heisei: 1989/1991 Millennium/Neo Heisei: GMK |

Definitely the Millennium design. He just looks the most ferocious and all around bad ass there.

1998 Godzilla American Movie! Oh my god that was awesome how... it looked nothing like Godzilla ...
![]() My favorite would have to be Millennium edition. I loved his design. But that will change if the Godzilla 2014 movie from Legendary looks as awesome as it does so far. |

Millenium Godzilla for me, but that's probably obvious.

Millenium, GMK, or Legendary if all proceeds as it appears to be proceeding.

Showa: 1974
Heisei: 1994 Millenium: 2000 For Showa, I enjoy a lot of the various designs out there, but it's the heroic, over-the-top Godzilla of Godzilla vs. Megalon and the Mechagodzilla films that does it for me most of all. I love Megaro-Goji and couldn't be happier I got the Bandai vinyl while it was still new. It doesn't matter what happens with MonsterArts down the line; he's not going anywhere. At first, I was going to make some joke about "Suits? As in more than one?" But then I remembered all sorts of little things that bothered me about Rado-Goji (1993) and Bio-Goji (1989). Can't actually remember anything distinct about Bato-Goji (1992)... Godzilla 1985 is a close second, while I'd lump Burning G in with Moge-Goji anyway. As the designs are the most consistent, there's not any suits I actually hate from the Heisei era, thighs notwithstanding. Millenium is tough. There are a lot of visually distinct Godzillas and I enjoy most of them. Even Kiryu-Goji isn't a version I hate, despite my feelings about 75% of his two films. However, when I really sit down and consider them and not their movies, Mire-Goji juuuuuust edges out GMK and FW. They all have their nitpicks but I think GMK's unfortunate paunch and FW's small plates and neck bulge barely suffer more than the combination of drastic departures from tradition immortalized by Mire-Goji.
