I've recently been thinking about Kamen Rider Fourze. while I didn't enjoy it while it was airing and I'm not sure if I'd enjoy going back to it I'm starting to see it a bit differently and appreciate it more. I can understand why people like it and see it really had a heart/believed in it's message, it just wasn't for me. On the opposite end of things I really enjoyed watching Decade but find myself liking it less and less as I watch more Rider shows and seeing how it disrespected so much of what came before. Have you ever re-evaluated a Rider series after watching it and had your opinion change on it, be it for better or worse?

Because every human being can and usually does approach things differently, and we are a community made up of a wide spectrum of individuals, I found my opinion changes on pretty much every show and quite regularly. People open my eyes to wonders I never once appreciated but equally people open my eyes to just how shitty things I once loved are.

I did the same thing with Ryuki. My first time through it I did not like it much. I decided to give it a second chance a couple years ago, though, and I realized that it was a lot better than I remembered. Part of me thinks I should try that with Faiz sometime.

I hated Gaim. I hated the fruit theme, I hated the leaked pictures, I hated the story idea about dancing teenagers. And now it's my favorite Rider series ever. I hated Akibaranger and now I'm getting AkibaBlue. So yes

Tastes change, so yeah, it's happened to me, too. For me, the series was Decade. I initially just disliked it. Now I outright hate it
I thought it initially to be mediocre, with a poor ending. But as I watched more series and saw what they did, as well as not letting the flashy fights blind me to Tsukasa's outright dickishness, the hatred grew on the rewatch.

I'm thinking I might feel similarly to Kabuto should I choose to rewatch it, but I'm not sure.

I don't know, Tendou had a different kind of dickishness in that not only was he just that good but also it would benefit others. But I love Kabuto so I'm not the best person to say you'll hate it on a rewatch

Funny enough I was actually thinking about Fourze the last couple days. It was, ostensibly my first season of Kamen Rider, despite Wizard being the first I started watching (it was towards the beginning of its run so I finished several seasons before it actually was over) and I feel a bit of a sense of attachment to it, even if it isn't towards the top of my list of favorite seasons. I'll likely end up rewatching it after I finish with Kabuto and my rewatch of Ryuki. It was just such a fun season that it's going to be one of those things I can throw on to put me in a good mood.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to mention Gaim hahaha. I am pretty sure I made my thoughts on the show prior to it airing more than known, I thought it was going to end up being the Kyoryuger of Kamen Rider. But I actually started watching it once the subs first started rolling out and jumped on the band wagon with basically everyone else here. What an incredible season and I am sorry for doubting it, especially since I actually like the fruit gimmick hahaha.

I actually never changed my opinion on a show. If I liked or hated it the first time, this is it!!
Sometimes, characters grew on me after the end of a show, like Fourze/Gentaro wich I appreciate more now than during the season course (never hated him), but mostly, 1srt impression is the final one for me.

You should! Faiz is one of my favorite series. Lol your sig basically represents my favorite Riders lol.

Well when I first watched the ZX special I wasn't really to interested in it but after the Manga, watching X and getting a feel for the Showa Era, I think I'm going to watch it again because I love ZX.

Though as I watch each Heisei Era series, I feel each episode of Decade could've been better, and I wish I didn't get spoiled from it, especially with Faiz and Blade lol.

Though I look back at when I first came on here and no idea about Kamen Rider, and how much within a span of less then a full year I know about the series.
