Man, I don't know if it's bad translation or bad scripting, but I honestly still have no idea what Airi is jabbering about on the Denliner near the end. I mean, I more or less know what's happening, but man, is it ever explained badly.

This episode also really demonstrates how incredibly nonthreatening Kai is as a villain. I just cannot take this guy seriously when he's acting like he's stoned half the damn time.

I think it's Kai's unhinged personality that at least makes him feel threatening to me. Now granted I still don't think he's a great villain. Frankly I find non-costumed or non-kaijin villains to be pretty awful. But I don't think he's entirely terrible.

We're getting into the big part of Den-O that never really worked for me: the explanation of exactly what's going on. Obviously, there's still one big plot reveal to go, but all the stuff with Airi and Sakurai here never really made sense. How did they know about Kai and the Imagin? Where did Sakurai get the Zeroliner from? How did they know about singularity points? I like this show, but the ending is full of plot holes that are big enough to drive a train through.

That said, Kintaros and Urataros's final stands are good dramatic moments and I really like their big final battles.
