I just got done last night finally watching Power Rangers Zeo all the way through and have to ask...were they planning a totally different idea of how things were to go at the end of Zeo before they went into Power Rangers Turbo?
I mean it wasn't the Power Rangers that finished off the Machine Empire, it was Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa blowing them up with Zedd proclaiming "We're Back!" and yet come next season...they're only in a cameo appearance for the movie when Divatox calls them about dealing with the Rangers. Everyone outside of Jason (his went back to Trey) still had Zeo powers and the Zords. I figure the footage of course ran out, but I really have to wonder if they had planned a bunch of stuff like Zedd and Rita being the villains again or what. Turbo as most know already pretty much created a lot of loopholes (What happened to the Zeo powers when they got the Turbo ones?), but Zeo still some of its own.

Wasn't the Turbo movie initially going to be quite different than the end result? That's how the rumors go, at least, in that they wanted to film more, including a different manner in how they get the Turbo powers (Beyond just slapping a table), and actually losing the Zeo powers.
Do note this is just me passing on the rumors, but considering how Zeo ended, it would make sense that they wanted the movie to be more different than what was released.

What I love is they never actually lost their powers. They just got new ones. So somewhere out there there's a hanger full of Zords and Weapons just going completely unused.

I also remembered that at the end of Zeo, Bulk and Skull were leaving Det. Stone for a new job in France.
Suddenly in Turbo they're back in the Junior Police Force alongside LT. Stone again before they're turned into monkeys for a good chunk of Turbo. I know the monkey thing was because they were trying to make a Bulk and Skull spin-off that didn't happen, but no explanation for what happened to the Detective Agency or what happened with Bulk and Skull's job in France thing. They just left so many unanswered questions between Zeo and Turbo. I'd like to assume that the Zeo powers maybe were somehow upgraded into the Turbo powers somehow, like maybe it was the thing Billy kept disappearing for during the Gold Ranger bit. He was working on a way to ensure the powers stayed relevant. An actual answer would have been nice. I mean it didn't even feel like a finale. No indication "That's it! Zeo's done and we're onto a new series."

![]() It was like..."Oh, hey! A wormhole back to my home planet and my family. Whelp! See ya guys later! Have fun protecting the Earth with this weird riddle lady taking my place!" It was always bad how they attempted to write out characters in these shows. Billy's departure in Zeo at least had a little bit of thought put into it. Jason losing the Gold Ranger power though always was to me confusing. I don't recall anyone saying whomever the Gold Ranger powers were given to from Trey would suddenly have the powers start to syphon their life energy away over time. And the Gold Ranger power transfer back to Trey being the finale to Zeo...O_o

I don't think Zordon knows how big the universe is, since he missed A LOT. ![]()

![]() But considering none of the powers have been destroyed permanently yet, I guess the Zeo powers are just kind of sitting around.
