I really... REALLY want this one.
But I can't justify that much plus fees for a figure I pretty much already have minus a very nice coat of metallic blue and an Effect part.

...Is this the first time a KR figuarts has gone up for preorder before the thing the figure is from is even out? Because dang. I guess all those Drive exclusives must be selling like crazy if we're getting V-Cinema forms this early now. Though I suppose the fact that it's a retool also plays a part.
Not a huge fan of this design, but the figure looks well executed. Kind of a silly detail to focus on but in particular I really like the way the hands look. The metallic look is nice. And dang, effect parts? I thought Bandai didn't do those anymore. |

I suspect it's a large part. Gol(r)d Drive was a retail release, which was a bit of a stunner, but it was so easy for them to re-do: Type Speed head, Proto-Drive torso, adjust the paint, and leave out the shift car: done. Bandai has gotten a lot of use out of the Type Speed, Mach, and Chaser (Mashin and Rider) molds. There's just not that much tooling necessary for a lot of these given that the show and its spin-offs kept remixing existing body parts in different configurations. I also think this is one of the reasons Gaim releases dried up: why would Bandai risk significant amounts of new tooling costs when they can produce Riders that mostly reuse existing parts?

Wow I didn't expect this figure this fast, the movie isn't even out yet.

I'm preordering this. For whatever the suit has grown on me and I like it in figure form. And it's Mach related. When does this go on preorder?
NY already has it up I see. Any other sites that would have this bad boy up? I normally don't preorder web exclusives.
