Starting this April 1st, Bandai's high-end products, particularly model kits and figures, as well as Banpresto's convenience store products are all under the Bandai Spirits brand. Bandai Spirits also will sport the same logo design as the original Bandai logo but only blue.
This is part of Bandai Namco Group's 3-year plan starting April 2018 under the motto CHANGE for the NEXT 挑戦・成長・進化 (Challenge, Growth, Evolution)

The timeline goes like this:
February 9th: Restructuring was announced
February 15th: Bandai Spirits established
March 28th: Business restructuring plan approved
April 1st: High-end products officially transferred to Bandai Spirits

The specific products that will be part of Bandai Spirits are as follows:

Gunpla(Gundam Plastic Model Kits)
TAMASHII NATIONS
- S.H. Figuarts
- Chogokin Series
- ROBOT Tamashii
- SAINT CLOTH MYTH(Saint Seiya Figures)
Banpresto Ichiban Kuji (notable lineup such as WCF collectible figures)

Weird date to announce that you're changing the logo, I thought it was fake.

I really don't care what color the Bandai-logo is, I just hope they don’t reboot their shit during the next 3 years. Figuarts continuing in a different scale or some nonsense like that.

Nah, I don't think we have to worry about that. The way I see it this seems more like Bandai just trying to be less cluttered as a brand and specifying things. Red logo Bandai stuff will still be the toys for kids, etc. such as the DX Sentai, Rider, and Ultraman toys, while the big kids stuff such as Figuarts are produced under this blue logo. Think of it as Toyota selling their high-end cars under the Lexus brand or Honda under Acura, etc.
