Gotta love how Tegasword Akatsuki's gattai sequence is basically Tegasword putting on a samurai armor. While Fire Candle may have lost all the Sentai Rings that the Bridan have recently collected after being defeated, at least he still lives to fight another day.
So the reason Rei abducted Oto is to study how the Sentai Ring manages to awake her from her coma in order to find a cure for whatever ailment is affecting him. Not only that, he also possesses a blank Sentai Ring. And next week will be focusing on Universe Patren 1gou (played by Ultraman Trigger) and Lupin Red, as well as a cameo by Seiji Takaiwa aka Mr. Kamen Rider!!! ![]() Good to see both of them again. That said, I wonder if UW Patren Ichigou is tricking everyone and he's UW Lupin Red as well. Also, the teacher in the episode preview who appears for a second or two is Tadashi Mizuno who notably played GUTS-SELECT member Tesshin Sakuma in Trigger, Riku/Geed's boss in Ultraman Geed, and Bundorute Peggy in LuPat. Maybe next episode is directed by someone who worked on Trigger, perhaps? Also, I guess Sumino using the Megaranger ring is a nod to Takaiwa since he was the suit actor for Mega Blue in that show.

Kudos to Sunred for calling the "wolf of the sea" connection to Hoeru. I think Fraudness Kumade should stop calling him Second Gen at this point, as Hoeru has become the First Gen of Wild Gozyu Wolf, effectively surpassing his predecessor. The part where he created a water field around himself and his enemies to put them at a disadvantage was pretty cool!
Nice to get some meaningful interaction between Hoeru and Rikuo, with Hoeru showing once more his natural talent to guide people towards the truth in their hearts. He was the first to betray his team after all, so he knows how easy it can be to lose sight of that. Rikuo was too focused on atoning for whatever happened to Rei in the past, while forgetting his wish to bring happiness to everybody else. Hoeru doesn't know the context, but he knows enough that he can tell Rikuo is a good guy who deserves the team's forgiveness, just like they all forgave him in Episode 9. Sumino wins some No.1 Detective points for seeing through the lie about Rikuo's betrayal, which she leverages to get something high class and luxury. I'll also award Kinjirou the No.1 Seal Impersonator, as he deserves something for his effort.
