But why do people like him? He had NO character development. And the two sequels he was in are some of the worst movies in the franchise. Hell, Bio Broly is hands down the worst Dragon Ball movie period.

Honestly a lot of bad characters are super popular, just look at Kirito from Sword Art Online.

I think people like him because he is legendary and he own Goku and the others in DBZ Movie 8. Toei and Bandai love the wank the living hell out of him because Toei kept using "Legendary Super Saiyan" to describe Broli but never bothered to explain what "legendary" means. He is not much different then how Trunks turn 3rd Grade SSj against Perfect Cell in my opinion.

I do agree that Broli is a dull and overrated character. It's bad enough that he can go LSSj3 and LSSj4 in Dragon Ball Heroes.

I like him because he's F____ing huge, and that he's a stand alone character from a movie which makes him more different from the others. Still I think Cooler looks cool too, can't wait to see if they make him also.

Kirito isn't a bad character, just an incredibly bland one in a setting full of far more interesting people, creatures, and assorted environmental decorations.

I've seen protagonists with more depth, but at the same time, I've seen ones with less.
