Just sitting down to watch Super Inframan. Not entirely sure what to expect, but I've heard good things.

Watching Epiosde one of RyuKendo, and after that I'm actually going to try some Ultraman. Just don't know which one yet.

Lately, I have been working through Ultraman , the original. Just past the halfway point and I love it. The plots are getting more creative and the monsters getting more creative as well. The characters ars hitting a stride. And the fights are still a blast!

Also recently watched the dub of Godzilla vs King Ghidorah for my podcast (check out my signature). The sub I have is a rough HK bootleg, so even the pretty mediocre dubbing is preferable. I still like this movie quite a bit. There's some really oddball elements, but it still plays out great as a throwback to the Golden Age daikaiju films from the 60s. On the docket: Brain 17, the dub of several episodes of Daitetsujin 17, the Toei giant robo show from the 70s.

Oh yeah, I got my VR Troopers Season 1 Volume 1 box so that will be on the agenda! A friend of mine was a huge VR Troopers fan so I might give him a call to have some nostalgia.

Rescue Fire 21. It was okay. The Tsubasa/Ritsuka and Yuuma/Tama relationships continue to be frustratingly one-sided, and Taiga continues to be level-headed and awesome. I also always appreciate it when a show doesn't immediately use their new combination in every preceding episode(Great Wyvern in 19). 22 looks relatively cool, even if it's just due to the grey filters. Really looking forward to when Jokaen joins the show.

Need to get back to Garo, since I'm up to episode 15 of it. Really good show, though it is a very slow burn until after the recap episode. |

Rescue Fire 22. I loved the part at the beginning, with Taiga, Tatsuya, and Tsubasa watching the weather report, and Taiga confessing his... comfort from watching the weather girl, and Tatsuya and Tsubasa just look at him like he's from another planet and say "Okay..." It's the background music and Taiga's usual calm disposition that makes it awesome.

Besides that, the episode was standard fare. Though it's interesting how they're destroying a natural disaster, and made me raise some philosophical questions within my psyche. Also, destroying a hurricane with lightning and Nissans. Only in Tomica Hero!
