It kinda did make sense though, in response to you at least Sentai. In the bit that he quoted you were specifically talking about how as a fandom we wouldn't be able to realise that it's a male yellow and not a female. I think that part about kids getting confused is a fair enough statement as I said previously, Banaba just over reacted to your over reaction. Den on the other hand is talking about the initial line in the statement, about choosing to have more male characters. This is of course sexist as Den and others have said and doesn't really play any part in the Yellow gender confusion bit. TL;DR- two arguments seem to have got mixed up. One about whether 'kids' would get confused by a male yellow. The second about how you can't have a 'strong' and 'brave' team with two female characters in it =] |

I know, but in terms of male yellows, MagiYellow was the most recent, having his series air in 2005. Basically all I was saying. Honestly, with their "Yellow is too feminine problem," just make it a badass Dinosaur.

				 | Quote: But still the Yellow being too feminine issue could be solved just by having a dinosaur motif different than the usual, or have a slightly different color scheme. The whole idea of "two girls not being able to take down a dinosaur" excuse they made is extremely stupid considering the one girl on this team had to face a freaking triceratops. A TRICERATOPS. WITH A DRILL FOR A TAIL.

Not entirely, I mean when was the last time we had only 1 girl on a team? Jungle Fury from what I can remember. And they didn't switch genders. I mean sure that wasn't under Saban's direction, but still. Plus, unless they do the "all green" change in Megaforce, I think it's unlikely that they'd switch Green to a girl.

				 | Quote: meh, seems to be a cultural thing. to me it seems women are viewed completely different there than they are viewed in the western world. it is what it is, good or bad depending on your view. overall i found this article a little insulting. we are in the 21st century. would a "feminine" male be all bad? Depending how homosexuality is viewed there, I honestly dont know. Femininity doesn't mean homosexual, and being homosexual doesn't mean they're feminine.
