Figure Oh #181 Reveals Akibaranger Season 2 Costumes

Thanks to forum member DrillBit for pointing us to the cover of Figure Oh #181. This image, Courtesy of the Cyber Gundam Blog has a big reveal for Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2 and its' fans! According to the cover of the latest Figure Oh Magazine the Akibarangers will each be getting a slight costume makeover!

Gone are the trademark pigtails of the Akiba Yellow helmet, instead replaced by Buns. AKiba Blue has likewise lost her split pony tail and had it replaced by a bun top. And Akiba Red appears to be sporting a new power up armor made from none other than the New Z-Cune Aoi-Tan!

This issue of Figure Oh is also said to reveal S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Beast!

Wonder why Yellow and Blue are changing, at least Red is an upgrade... of sorts...

That upgrade looks like a cross between a toga and a diaper. Perfect fit for Akibaranger, really.

The look of the suit reflects the desire of the person inside (from season 1).
I guess the there is a change of desire involved.

I'm glad you said it because I was thinking it. I said in the speculation thread how "I wonder what the Akiba power-up suit will look like"? Yea.... I take it back. That looks aweful.

Huh...Now whether to hold off on Figuarts AkibaYellow and Blue and wait for the inevitable S2 versions or not...

As for Red's new armor, it looks like it's supposed to be Aoi-tan clinging to his side. You can make out the arm across his chest and her leg crossing over onto his thigh. Plus in Red's close-up you can see her hand over his shoulder...If that's the case, then that's hilarious.
