So yeah, good beginning shows. For Sentai if you want to go for something besides the current show I'd recommend Gokaiger. It's a really fun show with a good cast, some great action, and a lot of moments that will make anyone who grew up watching Power Rangers geek out hardcore.

For Rider I'd agree that W and OOO are good primers for the modern series - you may even want to try Wizard, the currently airing show. I also always recommend going back about a decade and trying Kuuga and Agito, the first two shows of the series after its revival in 2000. They're a lot darker and more dramatic than the current shows, but they both have really great and engaging stories that don't get too bogged down by having to market collectable toy gimmicks like the modern Rider shows.

Is Tsuruhime even a schoolgirl? I know her actress was 13 at the time, but I don't think her character was ever seen in a school.

It's one of those technicality things, since while the character didn't attend school, she was only 14, so the actress was a schoolgirl at the time

And yeah.

Watch OOO or W, those are both good current day Rider series.
