So I guess I'm the cool one for not having seen any of them? I did see parts of the first one but... I never got any interest to watch it from beginning to end.

Yeah... this needs to be done. The trailer does so much justice.

Hmm I'm not too hopeful for this film so far the best "dark tokusatsu story" I've seen was skull man and ignoring the fact its animated, it was much more of a mystery and was unrelated re-imagining. With this being a continuation it feels weird for it not to have a similar tone, for me something like this should try and capture the sense of awe a child would feel watching power rangers and make it grow to match the older audience. I'm not sure how well i'm describing it but a great example of this is in super robot anime like gaogaigar or Mazinkaiser. Both of these capture the themes and experience of 70's robot anime where the concept of fighting the monster of the week was the same but do it on a larger scale and with a more fleshed out story. |

banes mask wasnt the problem, it was his damn voice that could barely be understood in theaters. although supposedly it pumps morphine out but from where? not a single hose or IV is connected to.it..

The behind the scenes stuff going on with this doesn't really shock me all that much. Something about the entire look of this thing is just off to me. I am not a fan of the suit designs in the slightest. It actually irritates me quite a bit when the main aspect of re-imagining a super hero costume, is to make all the colors darker.
