Well, consider how in much of children's fantasy, Dragons are evil and Fairies are good. Add the "Good Always Triumphs Over Evil" moral to the mix and it all makes sense.

But how will Dark affect Fairy? Or Ghost and Psychic? Or even Bug considering what Fairies tend to look like.

Considering Pokemon has always tried to paint Dragon types as the docile giants (Outside of Iris's Dragonite), who are only angry when provoked, I don't think so.

And so far, none of the Fairy types we've seen even come close to matching up to that x3

I'm honestly wondering if they'll change Togepi's evolutionary line's type to Fairy. Considering Togetic and Togekiss are somewhat modeled after Fairies, I'd see them getting Fairy-typed.

Anyway, one update I'm looking for is to Wonder Guard, basically, making Pokemon with it immune to Weather and Field traps.
It'll make Shedinja go from completely useless to only somewhat useless.

"But what if your opponent doesn't have a Super Effective attack?!"
That's the ENTIRE POINT of Wonder Guard.

"But what if they hack Wonder Guard onto Sableye or Spiritomb!?"
Just set the game so that Pokemon with an ability that's not one of their 3 possible abilities won't be able to be used in battle.

Skrelp looks like a seahorse that's seen the world for what it is. He looks like he'd sit in the dimly-lit corner of a bar and say something like "yeh, I knows the guy ya lookin' for" if you asked him.

And Clauncher so looks like the mook you're looking for.
