So if 05/05 is Children's Day, and 07/07 is Tanabata...I think we may have a pattern here. Time to look up Japanese holidays!

been messing with mine, is this thing missing a lot of sounds, almost none of the codes from the original mobirate work on this thing, can't even call forth the gokai galleon

I guess the reason behind it was Bandai wanted to make it a more general Sentai roleplay item rather than a Gokaiger-specific one. Still a bit disappointing though

By that logic a new one would be made every year.

Maybe, but the fact ranger keys are still being made (and look to be for a good while yet) suggests they've become more than simply a Gokaiger marketing gimmick. The legends mobirate feels more like a general sentai roleplay toy for the anniversary while the original was a suited as a piece of Gokaiger merchandise.

This thing is definitely a step down from the original. Wish I hadn't sold mine now

I do love my Legends Mobirates, but I am a little irked how it was advertised as having so many new sounds when in reality you need at least 36+ keys to get the most out of it. With what I've seen of the original you only needed to have one or two keys and it could still do quite a lot.
