[Shin Henshin]

The trend I noticed around here for the last few Rider and Sentai series, and by that I mean Fourze, Wizard, Go-Busters and Kyoryuger, seems to be "Series starts: This is awesome!! Series continues/nears the end: Meh, this isn't very good"

I honestly haven't had any issues with Wizard as a whole. I like Haruto, I like Kousuke, I like how things have progressed and the only three things that have disappointed me so far have been the lack of inner-Gate fights (Most likely due to blowing the budget on them early on in the show), Beast Hyper being and average upgrade and the lack of All-Dragon Style.

Agreed. I think it's because people become used to things too quickly. We just have to look at how people think of Go-busters after it ended: Really great show, but slow in the middle.

I know I'm generalising and there are specific examples that don't comply but speaking generally I find that with a lot of toku. Honestly, I feel like most of them could be cut in half episodewise and be better for it. I mean they try and pad out shows with more forms or what have you but they seem to often lose steam by the twentieth episode and largely coast until their last ten or so episodes assuming that secondary riders or new forms count as them actually doing something in the mean time, when it doesn't.

This seems incredibly evident of Wizard which has been delivering filler for what, two months now? And it's a real shame because I adored this show at the beginning and Haruto is one of my favourite Riders.

I've been tempted to make a post in the first Gaimu topic once the series starts taking bets on how long it hakes before that happens .

It's because most series starts off with something new and unique, bringing something to the table that other series hasn't.
And then, about 10 episodes in, it just falls back into normal, generic Sentai/KR stories.

Anyway, I actually liked this episode. The Gate was relatable and likable, the Phantom wasn't just "I'MMA SMASH [Blank]! THAT'LL MAKE THEM DESPAIR!", which was nice, Seeing Kizaki is always a plus, and this might be the first despair that's taken seriously since Rinko.

Oh, y'see. I live in the real world. Where nobody watches Kamen Rider Movies. ;D
