Question for those who are semi to very experienced with painting model kits...would Gundam markers work for Gobuster Ace? I've never painted a model before so I was curious if Gundam markers are a decent substitute for paint? Or has anyone tried Sharpie's paint pens?

I've been using some cheap paint markers I got from Walmart on the MG Figure-rise OOO, and I started trying them out on the Patstriker minipla, and so far I'm pleased with the results. Regular Sharpie markers, though, don't work at all, it just rubs right off.

Nice pics. I agree Gobusteroh looks a bit weird but reminds me of Brave combiners. The gravity crush attack it uses is also similar to Fire Dagwon's Fire Hold and Fire Sword combo. Coincidence??

Btw is your Gobuster-oh chest kind loose fitting? Doesnt seem to 'click' in place on mine. Last edited by Roanstalker; 04-05-2012 at 02:29 AM.. |

Cheers man =) I wish my Ace's windscreen/legs turned out as good as yours though. The paint on mine went funny and didn't look right so i put the stickers on over it =p

Honestly, mine didn't turn out quite like I planned it to either. I was hoping for a much darker shade of red, but it seems decent metallic red paint is near impossible to get in UK model shops.

Don't know if different colors behave differently. My experience has been just fine with Sharpies though. But you may want to try a specific color on the edge of the sprue before you commit to painting a part. |
